Lots of people say “Why go to America? Isn’t it just like Australia or England?” and every time I say “We used to think that too!”. Now family travel in the USA is one of the things we recommend the most. There is nothing quite like the American road trip!
The USA was our first overseas trip as a family. We picked the USA because at the time it had the shortest flight for the least money, without doing Bali or New Zealand. Neither ArgeyMum or I were particularly excited about going there, but we were excited for a vacation.
We were so surprised! It was vastly different. There is a different mentality in America to anywhere else we travel. It is bold and strong and confident.
We have now visited 27 states in the USA, and have a true love affair with many of its sights.
