Letters from Friends: Kids Travelling Full Time.

Letters From Friends Feature

One of the wonderful things that happens when you are travelling full time, is that you tend to be drawn to other people that are travelling full time too. People find your blog, they find your Facebook page, or your Twitter or Instagram, and they touch base with you. Sometimes they have questions, sometimes they comment on places you want to go, or places they’ve been, sometimes you bond over shared experiences. With the World Trip Diaries family, we bonded over the fact that our kids contribute to our blogs.

The beautiful kids of Little Llamas and The World Trip Diaries have sent a letter to the ArgeyKids of Lots of Planets Have a North, letting them know of some of the amazing places they have been and what they have liked seeing.

Just read their letters and see how sweet these kids are!

Dear friends,

Today I shall be giving you a few reasons to visit Montreal!

Well, you should visit Montreal because:

  • because i said so
  • because it’s a cool place

Ok… Now to the proper reasons. You should visit Montreal because:

  • because it’s a nice city Well, I guess, kind of nice, because most of the time you can hear ambulances and polices, yeah… But apart from that the city is pretty peaceful.
  • because of the food. Most of the restaurants in Montreal are delicious. There were some restaurants that weren’t so good but I’ll tell you the ones I recommend: Burger Royale Burger Royale is a really good burger place. When we got to Montreal, of course, we went to the supermarket, but before we got to the supermarket we saw this restaurant, and we saw someone eating a burger that looked really good, so we decided that before we go to the supermarket we would eat in that restaurant, it was delicious! One of the burgers I recommend is the I Love Bacon burger. Ok, now the second restaurant is Juliette et Chocolat. This one of course, is a Chocolate restaurant, it’s really good too. I think we went there a lot of times. The things I got when we went there is the mille-fulle in a jar, the lemon tartlet, the pop fondue and the fruit fondue. They were all really good. So, I do recommend it, but just in case you don’t want something sweet, there are the buckwheat crepes which aren’t sweet.

So, I hope you end up going to Montreal.

Bye!! José

World Trip Diaries Letters from friends

Dear friends.

All of you who have always wanted to travel the world, but have never had the courage to, don’t be afraid, just jump for it. When we were deciding whether to do so or not, we decided it isn’t something everyone can do, whenever they choose to. It’s an opportunity that only comes every once in a while. So if you get the opportunity, take it. You will not often be disappointed. There will be great views, city lights, lots of wonderful things. So if you are ever doubtful whether to go or not, choose to go. If, on the other hand, you already travel, but haven’t enjoyed any place you’ve been to, I recommend going to these places:

1: Cusco, Peru. The food there is the best I’ve eaten ever, but it is high, so altitude sickness may be present. So, beware. Yes.

2: Montreal, Canada. For a city in the world’s second largest country, it sure is nice, not much pollution, and has great foods here and there.

3: Tokyo, Japan. Everyone likes Japan, in case you haven’t been there yet. The food is great, and the Ramen, while not actually Japanese, is delicious anyway. Plus, it’s all Kawaii.

4: And, last, but not least, the whole South Island of New Zealand. Not really recommended for people who don’t like hiking or even walking, since it is basically a big line of mountains, But the views are great, and my first 2-hour hike was great, and there was even a sign which said: end of volcanic activities. Haha.

And that is it. From everything I recommend doing, to a bit of inspiration. Hopefully this has inspired you to travel the world, and for those who already do travel, these places are for you.

And maybe one day you will choose to share your stories with us.

Joao

World Trip Diaries 3

Dear traveling friends,

A while ago we went to the Salar de Uyuni. Honestly it was super super fun.

We started off by taking a long train ride, arriving to our hotel late at night. That’s the not so fun part. Considering we were all tired, we headed off to sleep really fast. Can we also appreciate that the hotel we stayed at had the best food ever. Yeah you already know you have to go. The next day was the day to go explore the Salar. We were fascinated by the first look, which was muddy looking brown salt. Slowly we passed the large holes of water. We stopped the first time at a small area which looked like an orange, pinkish salt, with lots of little pools of water. The weirdest looking part for sure but I mean. It’s pink. You can’t miss the pink. For the next stop, we went to the reflection part. Where all those weird reflection photos are taken. That’s part was really uncomfortable because we had to go in the freezing cold water without any shoes. Honestly a pain, not only the cold, but the salt isn’t soft and thin. It’s hard and spiky. But either then we had fun. It’s painful but you will enjoy it. Last stop was what I like to call “never ending salt plains”. Because it is never ending. We walked around so much, even managed to find a New Zealand flag in between all the other country flags. I bet everyone can find their flag there. Just gives you another reason to go. We built plies of salt, which is so much fun and walked more. At the end of the day we watched the sunset, above the salt. It’s beautiful… Also we ate chips, that was also beautiful. After a few tiring days you’re left with salt marks on all your cloths (they do come off), and a bunch of weird photos. But it is so worth it since it’s one of the funniest things you’ll do. You’ll get to play in the snow-like salt, and fall into holes in the salt and drown your feet. It gets cold, but the sun shines so strong. Definitely a must, for all. We also brought ponies and llamas, because they were meant to accompany us for the photos which didn’t go to well. You must give the photos a try.

Bye! -Melissa
